Spinach and Artichoke Wonton Cups

With Super Bowl Sunday coming up, we are all looking for the best bite-sized snacks to impress the crowd. Well, if you love spinach and artichoke dip, this is the snack for you!

These wonton cups are warm, creamy, crunchy, flavorful, and cheesy; what an amazing combination!

This recipe takes:

  • Prep time: 20 minutes

  • Cook time: 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 oz cream cheese

  • 2 cups spinach

  • 1 cup artichoke hearts

  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

  • 15 wonton wrappers

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp paprika

  • 1/8 tsp chili powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

This recipe makes:

  • About 15 wonton cups

Let’s get cookin’!

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.

  2. Wash and pan fry spinach. Grab your spinach and wash it with water to start softening the leaves. Then chop them up into small pieces (the smaller the better!) and add to a pan with a little bit of oil. Cook for about 5 minutes or until soft. This will keep the spinach from feeling crunchy!

  3. Chop up artichoke hearts. Into small pieces, chop up your artichoke hearts.

  4. Add ingredients to a bowl. Add all of the ingredients except for the wonton wrappers and parmesan cheese to a bowl. Mix well and taste to see if you need more seasoning!

  5. Set up wonton wrappers. In a mini muffin tin, add a small drop of oil to each compartment that you will be using (keep in mind this recipe makes about 15 cups). In each compartment, place a wonton wrapper inside and press on the center while the sides of the wrapper stick up to form a cup.

  6. Add your filling. Into each cup, add about a tablespoon of your mixture and press down to fill in the bottom. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top of each cup if you’d like!

  7. Bake and enjoy! Bake for about 12 minutes (check about 10 minutes in to make sure they are not getting too crispy) or until the edge of the wonton wrappers are golden brown. Let them cool for about 5 minutes before serving and enjoy!
